New Years-It's been awhile
My life has fallen apart, myself have fallen apart.

Thus the only resolution I can put forward is fix it all.

It's been awhile.

The move went rather well when it happened months ago.

Job hunting sucks. Getting jerked around by places is much worse.

Been loosing a lot of motivation. Dropped into depression a few times.

Need to pull self together and focus on something.

Bad luck gets worse.
Sometimes I wonder why I still bother to stay alive with my luck. It's gotten worse.

Now for the first time in my life I gotten into trouble with the law. It was a traffic violation, but nothing like most people would expect. No hit and run, not collision, no speeding and especially no driving while having no alcohol in my system(sorry to ruin it all for you.) No it was a headlight that was out that got me pulled over, which I just gotten replaced the week before.

No biggy right? Well 47 out of 50 states require insurance on your car to be able to drive it. I have not been able to afford insurance for a long time. When liability is over $100 when your should have your last age price drop at age 25 is crap. Especially since I have no extra money to spare. So I get citation on it and don't have to go into court until months later, which was today.

First thing first, I slept right thru the alarm. It took alot of noise outside for me to rouse. By the time I was out of my apartment I was late for the court. They didn't hold it against me, but well while getting rescheduled I found out roughly what will happen to me, fines(where do I get the money?) and it's on my driving record. (No chance at going for a trucker job again for the next two years at least). Personally hoping for just community service... but yeah doubting that.

Then I go back to my car, got a parking ticket. Now mind you every meter in that lot(marked as public parking) was expired when I got there, but I was the only one who had a ticket on their car afterwords(still all expired). The ticket itself had a number on it to dispute it. Which I promptly called, and the person who answered wouldn't budge on that. Oh well at least that will be pocket change and not as much of a drain. Will have to look at the laws for that before I head back to the court building. Not letting that happen again.

Meanwhile I get jerked about some more at job interviews. That or I just plain out fail the physical tests, despite all the exercise I put myself thru. Augh...

So over a week ago I went out visit mom at her new place. Yet again her new boyfriend started handing me beer the moment I got in there. Mom has started to occasionally drink wine, which any sort of alcohol consumption from her amazes me.

She got me a new bicycle, as I keep on being too poor to really replace anything. Especially after loosing hours at work.

Went out fishing for probably the first time in 15 years. Ended up catching some sunnies and a bass.

Watched some fireworks later on. Next day I took some rather scenic pictures of the area. I'll get more the next time I'm there.

Resolved to get a new job, but that is delayed because I got sunburned while spending all that time outside. The skin is still peeling away, and it's not looking rather good doing so. I figure another week.

If anything this gives me a month to learn a few more things from my current place before bolting.

Blast from the past
Whereas: The unique features of this nation at its foundation was its establishment of a secular Constitution that separated government from religion — something never done before; and
Whereas: Our secular constitution has enabled people of all world views to coexist in harmony, undivided by sectarian strife; and
Whereas: President James Madison made clear the importance of maintaining this harmony when he said, "The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the endless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries"; and
Whereas: The diversity of our people requires mutual respect and equal protection for all our citizens, including minority groups, if we are to remain "One nation, indivisible"; and
Whereas: It is the unfettered diversity of ideas and world views that have made our nation the strongest and most productive in the world; and
Whereas: Eternal vigilance must be maintained to guard against those who seek to stifle ideas, establish a narrow orthodoxy, and divide our nation along arbitrary lines of race, ethnicity, and religious belief or non-belief.
Now Therefore, I, Jesse Ventura, Governor of Minnesota, do hereby proclaim that Thursday July 4, 2002 shall be observed as: Indivisible Day In the State of Minnesota.

So for the third time in the span of the year I helped mom move. She moved in with her new boyfriend. At least the impression I got from him from finally meeting him is good.

So here's to hoping she stays put for the meanwhile.

Blow Your Speakers
So while at the gym today and exercising, my earphones for my MP3 player goes out. Ironically I was listening to Manowar at the time. Go figure.

Lost Tai Chi nights, only learned half the form and kept on practicing. Probably start picking up other bits and pieces of other forms shortly. Whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I'm probably not going to have a single weekend off while I'm working at this job. I love it though, as long as it's either challenging me or I'm learning something I'll be good for the meanwhile.

Hit a plateau in my exercising. Need to rearrange what I do soon. After I'm done resting up.

Started playing an MMO again occasionally. Nice distraction Mabinogi can be.

Also been writing again. I suppose it was only a matter of time.

Nearly done paying the lesser of two debts off, thus the two year or so battle begins during the summer.

Went to a friend's birthday party on Sunday, on 4-20. Much fun to be had by all. First time I ever had to make a booze run to Wisconsin.

Mom found out of my plot of wanting to move out of state several months before I wanted her to know... blasted friends sometimes. She already started questioning the whys to it like she doesn't want me to get any further away then I already have. I love mom, but she is chained to her current location more or less until grandma dies.

If I loose any more hours at work I might start job hunting again even if the prospects look rather bad for me. Though once into the summer and fall seasons things will probably be looking up.

Computer has gotten worse, but once I'm only have that one huge debt left I will have some money to toss at it and fix it up. If it dies before hand, oh well.

State of the Steve
Well had to work on my birthday but I had a bit more fanfare then I had for the last several years. Strangely touching to have a crew you've worked with for little over a month and get chocolate cake shoved in my direction and sung to.

As for the job itself, it was the only thing I could get in this town. Which is odd because this is a college city with twenty times the amount of people in the piss ant small town I grew up in. Still it's something to get some bills paid off for the meanwhile. Sucks that's not full time nor that I'm getting the wages I'm accustomed to.

Made some progress on last years New Years resolutions though I only completed one of them. The moving out bit. Just that not to the place I originally wanted to go to.

Money wise things are a bit tight. I do not have a full time job and there is shit that needs to be repaired or replaced but that has to wait until I get caught up on card payments. Hopefully the comp makes it during that time.

More or less kept up on the exercising(will post some notes below) and started learning Tai Chi. Just dropped behind some on some aspects of weight lifting.

In a few years I'm probably disappearing to the west coast. I plan on attempting another roadtrip if at all possible. I want to see somethings in the east before it's harder for me to do so.

Treadmill: 4.5 mph for 40 minutes
bar curl: 80 pounds
bench press: 105 pounds
Leg curls and extensions: 95 pounds
Overhead lift: 90 pounds
Compound bow: 140 pounds
Leg press: 210 pounds
hand weight: 35 pounds

Weight: 230 pounds

Random wrestling insanity
El Hijo del Santo turns heel, causing fans in Mexico City to riot for eight days in 1996.
This is a moment not widely known to American pro wrestling audiences, but if you can find a tape of this event, it is utterly compelling. On November 15, 1996, the son of Mexican wrestling legend El Hijo, who had wrestled for many years already as a hero of the people, was participating in a six-man tag team match. His opponent? Three villains who had earlier beaten the wheelchair-bound El Hijo Sr. to a bloody pulp, removing his mask and burning it. Near the end of the match, El Hijo del Santo turns on his teammates and join the individuals who had beaten his father, stating that his father's fame was actually HIS fame and that his father was "nothing." Women started crying, fights started in the audience, and a team of ridiculously angry Mexicans sporting broken beer bottles rush the ring. In the melee that ensued, roughly 50,000 Mexican wrestling fans began destroying the arena where the event was held, eventually spilling out into the streets. It took eight days for the riots to be fully contained.

.....I so want to see this.

5:05 pm
So the trucker school thing went to hell quickly and it turned into an impromptu road trip. I suddenly realized how much I drove about this year. Just Damn.

Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Woyming

Close to half the country in a year, damn!

Meet Brian and Tassy while on the way back. I'll definitely get back to east coast eventually.

Soon after I got back, the temp places started tossing work my way again. Now though it dried up again.

Got a gym membership, been keeping myself busy that way.

Work opportunity has gotten bad enough I started putting in apps at fast food places. So yeah....augh.

It's been awhile hasn't it?

Worked some temp jobs for awhile, though ultimately those dried all up. Been putting in several apps in at several places and most of them go nowhere.

Still I got some promising calls today and also tried to get in contact with a few people I haven't had any contact with recently.
